for Meeting Planners
The Greater
Merrimack Valley CVB would like to assist you with your convention
and event arrangements. Our service department is most willing to
provide you with the following assistance when patronizing one of
our member hotels or attractions:
Bid Proposals:
We will prepare and submit bid proposals as well as contact hotels
and meeting/events/sports venues to reserve the amenities that meet
your needs.
Site Inspections/Pre-Convention
Planning: Our sales representative will accompany you on an
inspection of Merrimack Valley hotels, attractions and meeting facilities
as well as provide additional information on events, entertainment,
and historical sites to help increase your attendance.
Computerized
Housing Bureau: The Housing Bureau is available to groups utilizing
multiple properties. Reservations are confirmed individually by
each hotel you select.
Program
Assistance: The Greater Merrimack Valley CVB will assist you
in locating local resources such as catering, florists, photographers,
office equipment, promotional materials, souvenir ideas, security
personnel, as well as any of your other trade show and exhibit needs.
Guest Programs/Special
Events: The Greater Merrimack Valley CVB will help you plan
guest programs, sightseeing tours, and children's activities. Step-on
guides and escorts are available for a fee. Guest speakers and/or
entertainment, sample tour itineraries, and pre and post convention/event
tours are available. We can also arrange welcome addresses from
city dignitaries and letters from the Mayor of Lowell and the Governor
of Massachusetts.
Destination
Literature: The Official Guide to the Greater Merrimack Valley
as well as any applicable regional brochures can be provided for
your attendees on request. These information packets are great for
pre-convention mailings or as the basis for check-in packets. Information
supplied includes hotel listings, maps, restaurants, attractions,
and a calendar of events.
Publicity
and Promotion: We offer assistance to you in promoting your
meeting or event. Contact information for and lists of local, state,
and national media are available. Destination information is available
for press purposes as well as press releases, color slides, video,
and slide shows. Local media interviews can also be arranged.
Lowell Destination
Ambassadors: The CVB can provide your Lowell-based event with
members of our core group of volunteers to assist your attendees
with maps, directions, and information on local attractions, restaurants,
transportation, and services.
