The Greater Merrimack Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau is a private, non-profit, membership-based organization responsible for the promotion of the Greater Merrimack Valley as a destination for meetings, conventions, special events, group tours and leisure travel. Bureau membership is comprised mainly of businesses located in Northern Middlesex County who support this mission through their investment of funds, and who are encouraged to be actively involved in the organization. The Greater Merrimack Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau works in concert with other regional tourism councils and the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism (MOTT) to promote the Commonwealth as a premier visitor destination and to increase awareness of the region's offerings among area residents. For more information about becoming a member please view the links on the left.
Here is what some of our members are saying:
"Through carefully targeted co-op marketing opportunities, the Greater Merrimack Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau has enabled the Concord Museum to stretch our marketing dollars, reaching both regional and national audiences."
- Carol Haines, Director of Public Relations, Concord Museum
"The CVB is a wonderful resource for our business. It allows us to keep in touch with businesses in the Greater Merrimack Valley region, and to fill that one last seat at LeLacheur Park."
- Tim Bawmann, Vice President/General Manager, Lowell Spinners Baseball
"The CVB was instrumental in promoting the Liberty Ride as the best new Massachusetts Tourism initiative of 2003, wining us an award from the governor. Without the support of the CVB, I doubt that the Liberty Ride would be as successful as it is today."
- Masha Traber, Coordinator, Liberty Ride, Lexington
